PRESS RELEASE: In Loving Memory of Ken Sposato

For Immediate Broadcast

On April 14, 2025, Ken Sposato—a dedicated tow truck company owner, father, and grandfather—was tragically killed while doing what he always did: helping others. While securing a vehicle on the roadside in Highlands County, Ken was struck and killed by a driver who violated Florida’s Move Over Law.

Ken wasn’t just a man with a truck—he was a lifeline to others. Steady, selfless, and strong, Ken lived to serve his community, and his legacy continues in the hundreds of lives he touched.

It was standing room only at the event, as more than 500 people gathered to celebrate Ken’s life. Over 100 tow trucks from across Florida joined in a powerful tribute: “Beds down, Booms up,” followed by a lighted procession that evening and an emotional air horn salute in his honor.

The Sposato family wants to extend our deepest thanks to every person and business who donated food, funds, and time to make the memorial a meaningful success. Whether it was your time, a donation or a gallon of tea, your generosity was felt by all.

Please join us in honoring Ken by helping us improve the law that failed him. Sign the petition at moveoverforken.com to raise awareness and call for stronger penalties for Move Over Law violations.

From our family to yours—thank you for standing with us.
